Why does my bunny pendent have one eye open and one closed?

I got this new pendent just the other day. My sis bought it off ebay for me. It is jade i think and it carved into a bunny laying down. Its about 2 inches so its quite big for a necklace. But the thing that confuses me is that on one side its eye is open and then on the other side its close as if its asleep. Does anyone no why????
