Why do Hindus still believe the moon a planet?
they can build nuclear bombs and yet believe in the moon being a planet.
is this a sign of primitive behaviour?
or is it because they woriship cows and man man made dolls?

That would be in comparison to christians whose bible doesn't even recognize that planets exist but, rather, thinks they are stars? I wouldn't start casting stones about primitive beliefs if I were part of any religion based on thousand plus year old scriptures.
In any case, the original term comes from the Greek planetes and means wanderer. They were lights that moved in relation to the night sky. In a sense, the moon would qualify.
