Does anyone know of a book with exhaggerated victorian clothing?
I seen a book once that had victorian clothing that had bright colors like electric blue, reds, greens, etc. If you ever seen Marie Antoinette there was a lady named Dubarry ( King's mistress or whatever) she wore clothing that I am talking about. If you know any sites or books let me know thanks.
Well, during the Victorian Era alkaline dye was invented so bright, bold colors were popular. Plus the Madame du Barry you mentioned lived from April 19, 1743 – December 8, 1793, nearly a full century before the Victorian era.
