How then do Mosques get planning permission?

The UK has like it or not been protestant for many years, how then does a Mosque fall into the planning requirement of "in keeping with the local enviroment".
It is bad enough the law that states that shops should clearly state the propritors name in legible English is being flouted, the poor women had her cross objected to et al.
Is it not time that we the English stood up for the UK.
To wit no walking down the street with face obscured.
All coppers wear helmets as opposed to bandages,
Shop fronts written in English,
Take these things for a start and work up.
These are not rascist, the africans, chinese, west indians, and others accept our culture, and when we go to other countries we are not allowed beer, women cannot drive they also have to cover up.
So how about it Brits?

I do so agree.I lived in Muslim countries for many years and adhered to their code of conduct.I feel the old adage 'when in Rome do as the Romans do' is as true today as it ever was.
We are a Christian country and welcome people from all over the globe to live here and benefit from living here so please do not shove your beliefs in our faces as a way of saying thank you!
We respect your beliefs so why cannot you respect ours and leave your veils at home
