Is Tiffany's that significant to teenagers?
I've found the perfect gift for my sister in law's high school graduation - a sterling silver shamrock pendant with bracelet. She has a thing for four leaf clovers and it is a symbol of good luck, thus fitting for the occasion. Problem is it costs $230 at Tiffany's. I'm willing to fork it out for her but I've found a very similar bracelet charm set (sterling silver, shamrock and all) for $50 at another store. Of course it's not Tiffany's but virtually the same. Would an 18 year old care about the $180 difference to have a gift from Tiffany's? She's a normal teen and loves name brands; I just don't think she'd be too snobby about a gift. But then again I think she could have that Tiffany bracelet and collect pendants for it forever...
I was never into name brands in high school and never minded things like that, it is the thought that counts. Although I was so touched when my brother gave me a Tiffany's necklace for my 18th birthday. I think you could get away with either, but if she loves name brands she would probably appreciate the Tiffany's bracelet more.
