Is there such a tradition at french weddings?
Hallo there. I am invited to go to the wedding of my boyfriends sister. They are French, i am Greek. So, i bought this dress, light beige with golden and silver decorations here and there. But i was told that there may be a tradition that only brides get to wear in weddings, dresses which are white/beige. Is it true?
Well, how "beige" is the dress? Yes, traditionally, only the bride gets to wear white, off white, cream, ivory, etc. But if your dress is nearly tan or a cafe au lait color, I think it would be fine.
Can you post a photo of the dress? Then everyone could give a more informed opinion.
